I’m Dave — the founder of Dave’s Smart Services, based right here in Arlington, Texas. For over a decade, I worked professionally as a Technology Director, managing IT systems, digital tools, and technical support for organizations that relied on smooth, secure operations. I loved the challenge of solving complex problems — but I realized something was missing.

More and more, I found myself helping friends, family, and neighbors figure out their smart home devices, slow Wi-Fi, or confusing new gadgets. I saw firsthand how frustrating and overwhelming today’s technology can be, especially for older adults or those who didn’t grow up with it.

So I decided to take all my technical experience and apply it to a new mission:
Helping real people feel confident with modern technology, right in their homes.

I started Dave’s Smart Services with a simple promise:
I don’t just install technology — I make it make sense.

Whether you’ve just bought your first Ring doorbell or want your lights to turn on automatically when you walk in, I can help you set it up, explain how it works in plain English, and leave you feeling comfortable using it on your own.

Most of my clients are in 55+ communities and retirement neighborhoods. Many live alone or are helping aging parents stay independent. I take pride in being patient, respectful, and never in a rush. You can ask me the same question five times — I’m happy to walk you through it again until it clicks.

I’m not some big box installer or rotating technician. I’m a local neighbor, and I build my business on trust and relationships. Most of my work comes through word of mouth, and I treat every home like it’s my own.
